Paint schemes for small fish

I have cast out 4 fish creatures so far,and i am experimenting with some paint schemes, i want the scheme to suggest fish more than amphibian,so i'm trying something like a mackrel or a trout,with scales visible,just to get across the idea of a walking fish.I will sculpt the legs soon to fit the stumps on the creature.I plan to make abot 5 or 6 of these ,the rest are cutouts as they are far from the camera. I then will cut the mould in half and cast out several heads to mimic the b-17 nose cone shot.
